With the Staub casserole, you can prepare delicious, healthy dishes including succulent, low-fat roasts, crunchy vegetables and fish that truly melts in the mouth. The casserole dish is made from cast iron and is coated with matte black enamel on the inside, which has a palpable effect on cooking. This coating creates a highly efficient stewing effect that intensifies the natural flavour of the ingredients in a dish. It can be used immediately and is easy to clean. The cast iron casserole retains heat from the oven or the hob, distributing it throughout the food evenly and consistently so it is cooked gently and healthily.

The oval casserole has a diameter of 29 cm, is 35.3 cm including handles and measures 15.45 cm high including lid. It has a capacity of 4.2 L, which is more than enough space for roasts, vegetable stews and oven-baked dishes.

The casserole looks modern and stylish and is an attractive cooking accessory that can also be used to present food at the table. The two handles on either side of the pot also ensure safety while carrying.

Casserole from the La Cocotte series are additionally enamelled on the inside in order to enhance the cast iron’s braising effect and food even more flavourful.
